MVR opens Frankfort plastics-recycling and manufacturing facility
The sustainable-plastics resin maker held a dedication ceremony Wednesday for its new 90-million-lb/yr recycled-plastic manufacturing site in Frankfort, KY. Governor Steve L. Beshear and Frankfort Mayor Gippy Graham were on hand to support the plant’s creation of potentially up to 360 new “green” jobs by 2011. Mountain Valley Recycling invested more than $9.2 million into the facility. More info  

Glenroy wins four PIW Graphics Excellence Awards
The Menomonee Falls, WI-based flexible-packaging printer and converter has won four awards from the Printing Industries of Wisconsin (PIW) in its 2010 Graphics Excellence competition. The statewide printing contest recognizes leading-edge, quality printing. Competing with almost 800 printing and graphic-arts firms across Wisconsin, Glenroy won a “Best of Category” award and three “Awards of Excellence.” More info
