Bema Polytech to install second W&H CI-flexo press
The Elmhurst, IL-based flexible-packaging printer and converter has ordered a new 52-in., 8-color MIRAFLEX AM flexographic press from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp. The company purchased its first W&H press, a 10-color PRIMAFLEX, in 2007.
W&H introduced the MIRAFLEX AM last fall as a lower-cost solution for customers who run many small- to mid-sized jobs daily and need a press that yields superior print quality, while offering quick and seamless changeovers. The Bema Polytech line will be capable of 1,200-fpm print speeds and is equipped with EASY-SET for automatic impression setting, EASY-REG for registration and TURBOCLEAN automatic ink supply and wash-up system that completes ink changes on all decks in less than 5 mins. The press will be installed in the fourth quarter of 2010. More info
